The Shura Council State of Qatar

HE Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met on Tuesday via videoconferencing with HE President of the Andean Parliament Cristina Reyes.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint coordination and develop cooperative relations between the Gulf councils and the Andean Parliament. The two sides stressed the necessity of exchanging visits and experiences and coordinating stances and visions in parliamentary forums.

This meeting comes in implementation of the decision of Their Excellencies the Heads of GCC Legislative Councils, during their 17th meeting, which was hosted by Doha in November 2023, calling for holding meetings between the Gulf councils and their Latin counterparts to enhance cooperation and joint coordination and unify visions and positions.
