Speaker of Shura Council Meets APU President

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met Tuesday with HE President of the African Parliamentary Union and President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Burkina Faso Alassane Bala Sakande, on the occasion of HE participation in the 42nd Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the African Parliamentary Union (APU).
During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperation relations between the Shura Council and the APU and ways of enhancing them, in addition to the most important topics on the agenda.
The meeting also reviewed the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Burkina Faso and ways of promoting them.
HE the Speaker of the Shura Council also met with HE President of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic Laurent Ngon, on the occasion of HE participation.
The meeting reviewed the parliamentary relations between the two countries and ways of developing them, as well as the topics listed on the agenda.
The meetings were attended by a number of Shura Council members.
