The Shura Council participates in the Forum on the Sustainable Development Plan for the Year 2030 in the Arab Region

A delegation of the Shura Council left for Beirut in Lebanon to participate in the Parliamentary Forum on Sustainable Development Plan for the Year 2030 in the Arab Region, to be held during the period from 24-25 January 2019. 

 The Forum is designed to discuss ways to strengthen the role of parliamentarians in implementation of the plan of the year 2030, in monitoring and in evaluation processes in the Arab region. The discussions will focus on linking parliamentary work with the bases of the development process.

The annual parliamentary forum is a part of the partnership between the Economic & Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). 

The members of the Shura delegation consists of:

1) H. E. Dr. Yusuf Bin Mohamed Bin Yusuf Al-Obaidan, Members of the Shura Council.
