Speaker of Shura Council Holds Meetings on Margins of Parliamentary Hearing at UN

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met here today separately with HE President of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Gandini, HE President of the Thai National Legislative Assembly Pornpech Wichitcholchai, HE President of the Turkish Parliamentary Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union Dr Ravza Kavakci Kan, and HE President of the Australian Senate Dr Scott Ryan, on the sidelines of the two-day parliamentary hearing which began at UN Headquarters today.

During the meetings, they discussed the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar, the Republic of Uruguay, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Turkey and Australia, in addition to ways of supporting and enhancing them. They also discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the parliamentary hearing.

The meetings were attended by a number of members of the Shura Council.
