The Shura Council participated in the 2nd meeting of the 4th session of the Arab Parliament 3rd legislative term that was held on Sunday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The Council was represented at the session by HE Shaikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi, HE Essa bin Ahmad Al Nassr, HE Salem bin Rashid Al Meraikhi, and HE Hamad bin Abdulla Al Mulla, members of the Shura Council and the Arab Parliament.
The session discussed all Arab developments and issues, the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the continuing aggression against Gaza and the brotherly Palestinian people, in light of the outcomes of the meetings of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament.
In this regard, the members of the Shura Council emphasized during the session the State of Qatar's position in support of the brotherly Palestinian people and highlighted its efforts aimed at a ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations to reach a permanent solution to the Palestinian issue, restore stolen rights and protect sanctities.
They pointed to the State of Qatar's endeavors and tireless efforts, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to stop the aggression and send humanitarian aid including food, medicine, fuel and medical equipment on a permanent basis. They noted in this regard the active role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other entities in the State in cooperating with all concerned parties to stop this brutal aggression.
The session also reviewed the results of the meetings of the Arab Parliament committees, including the Arab women parliamentary document, the Arab world social status 2023 report, the draft law regulating the fight against food supply chain losses, the Arab world human rights 2023 report, a law draft on combating bullying in the Arab world, in addition to discussing the adoption of a comprehensive Arab vision to enhance security and stability in the Arab world.
