Shura Council Speaker Meets Parliaments Speakers on Sideline of IPU 141st GA

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met on Monday with HE President of the National Congress of the Republic of Paraguay Blas Llano, President of Group of Latin America and the Caribbean, on the sidelines of his participation in the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the related meetings.
During the meeting, they reviewed the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean and ways of enhancing them, in addition to discussing the topics on the agenda of the Assembly.
A number of the Shura Council members attended the meeting.
Also, HE Speaker of the Shura Council met with HE Speaker of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe Jacob Mudenda, Chairperson of African Group, on the sidelines of his participation in the 141st IPU Assembly and the related meetings.
The meeting touched on the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the African Group and ways of supporting them, in addition to discussing the topics on the agenda of the Assembly.
Furthermore, HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met with HE Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Sentop, on the sidelines of his participation in the 141st IPU Assembly and the related meetings.
The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation and bilateral relations in the parliamentary field and ways of enhancing them.
Several members of the Shura Council and HE Qatar's Ambassador to Serbia Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani attended the two meetings.
