The Shura Council participated in the 5th plenary session of the 4th session of the Third Legislative Term of the Arab Parliament, which was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
The Council was represented in the session by HE Shaikha bint Yousef Al Jufairi, HE Essa bin Ahmad Al Nassr, HE Salem bin Rashid Al Muraikhi, and HE Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mulla, members of the Shura Council and members of the Arab Parliament.
The session discussed the overall Arab developments and issues, the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza and the brotherly Palestinian people, in addition to reviewing a number of topics related to strengthening joint Arab action.
The attendees reviewed the reports of the permanent committees of the Arab Parliament and the report of the Palestine Committee, which included the measures taken by the Arab Parliament since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In this context, the members of the Arab Parliament renewed their condemnation of the continued brutal aggression and war of comprehensive genocide and cleansing of the Palestinians by the Israeli forces, and the flagrant violations of Palestinian natural resources of oil and gas, and their violation of maritime borders.
During the review of the Palestine Committee report before the session, HE Shaikha Al Jufairi stressed that supporting the Palestinian people is a firm policy of the State of Qatar, reviewing the efforts of the Shura Council in supporting the Palestinian cause.
She explained that the State of Qatar has been making great efforts to stop the fire and provide humanitarian and medical assistance since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, denouncing the barbaric practices of the occupying entity, which violate all international laws, and hinder Arab and international efforts to reach a ceasefire and end the humanitarian tragedy that has been ongoing since last October.
Her Excellency pointed out that the ongoing massacres have increased the world's awareness of the criminal nature of the occupying entity, which prompted countries such as Armenia, Spain, Norway and Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine, and called on all countries to expedite the recognition of Palestine in support of international justice.
