Speaker of Shura Council Meets Speaker of African Parliamentary Union

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met today with HE Alassane Bala Sakande, speaker of the African Parliamentary Union and president of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso, on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Conference of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which is currently held in Rabat.

During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation relations between the Shura Council and the African Parliamentary Union and ways of boosting them, and reviewed the latest preparations by the State of Qatar to host the 140th session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

They also discussed the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Burkina Faso and ways to support, develop and promote them, in addition to discussing the most important topics on the agenda of the Conference of the Union of the OIC Member States.

The meeting was attended by HE Qatar's ambassador to Morocco Abdullah bin Falah bin Abdullah Al Dosari, and a number of members of the Shura Council.
