HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met on Wednesday with HE the President of the National Assembly of Niger Ousseini Tinni, and HE the President of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic Mousa Laurent Ngon-baba, separately on sidelines of the General Assembly meetings in Doha.
During the two meetings, the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and each of the two countries were discussed and ways of strengthening and developing them. The topics on the agenda of the General Assembly were also reviewed.
The two meetings were attended by HE Mohamed bin Ali al Hanzab, who is a member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Committee with Niger and Central Africa.
HE the Speaker of the Shura Council also met on Wednesday with HE Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka Karu Jayasuriya, on the sidelines of the current General Assembly meeting in the country.
During the meeting, they discussed the parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and means of supporting them and enhancing the issues on the agenda of the General Assembly.
The meeting was attended by HE Rashid Bin Hamad Al Meadadi, who is a member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Sri Lankan Parliamentary Friendship Committee.
HE Al Meadadi also met with HE President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Sudan Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Omer on the sidelines of the General Assembly meetings.
During the meeting, they discussed the existing parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the brotherly Republic of Sudan, ways of boosting them and reviewing the topics on the agenda of the General Assembly.
The meeting was attended by HE Saqr bin Fahad Al Muraikhi, who is a member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Qatari-Sudanese Parliamentary Friendship Committee.
