HE Member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Qatari-Tajik Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Council, Ahmed bin Hitmi Al Hitmi, said that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Republic of Tajikistan would open new horizons for the strong relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the visit of HH the Amir to Tajikistan at the end of a tour that included several Central Asian countries, His Excellency said that His Highness' visit to various countries lays the solid foundations for fruitful, constructive and balanced relations between the State of Qatar and various countries and peoples, which is reflected in many fields, including the parliamentary field.
He pointed out that the parliamentary cooperation between the State of Qatar and Tajikistan has witnessed remarkable development in recent years.
Parliamentary communication, meetings, and joint coordination between the two sides are ongoing and have contributed to strengthening relations and coordination on issues of concern to both countries, he said.
He stressed that the Qatari-Tajik parliamentary relations will witness a new shift in light of the keenness of the Shura Council and the Parliament in Tajikistan to translate the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries and the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
The visit will represent a new start for the development of relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the parliamentary field, through the exchange of parliamentary visits, which contributes to strengthening communication between the two peoples and improving joint cooperation, he added.
