Shura Council Speaker Meets Parliamentary Heads Participating in IPU Assembly

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud who is also President of 140th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) met separately with HE President of the Consultative Council of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, HE Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait Marzouq bin Ali Al Ghanim and HE Chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, on the sidelines of the 140th IPU Assembly currently held in Doha.
During the meeting they discussed the existing parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the other states and ways to boost and develop them. The meeting also reviewed topics on the assembly agenda.
HE the Shura Council Speaker and President of the 140th IPU Assembly met with HE Speaker of the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani, on the sidelines of the 140th IPU Assembly currently held in Doha.
During the meeting they discussed the existing parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran and ways to boost and develop them. The meeting also reviewed topics on the assembly agenda.
The meeting was attended by HE head of the Qatari-Iranian parliamentary friendship committee Rashid bin Hamad Al Meadadi, HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Qatar Mohamed Ali Sobhani and a number of Shura Council members.
