Speaker of Shura Council Meets Under-Secretary-General of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, who is also President of the 140th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), met Monday with Under-Secretary-General of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov, on the sidelines of the IPU meetings currently in session in Doha.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations, especially in the field of combating terrorism. The two sides also reviewed the topics on the agenda of the General Assembly.
