The Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments praised the outcomes of the 44th Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted by the State of Qatar on Tuesday.

The Association expressed appreciation for the leaders of the GCC countries in strengthening joint GCC action as it serves the best interest of the citizens of the GCC countries.

This came from a statement issued by the Association Wednesday, in which it expressed its satisfaction with the outcomes of the 44th GCC Summit that will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the progress of the GCC work.

The close follow-up by Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries, to the progress achieved in efforts to strengthen the GCC system, reflects their great care for the system and taking cooperation between the GCC countries towards broader horizons, the statement added.

The Association affirmed its keenness to support these efforts by doing its part in achieving integration and cooperation between the councils of Arab countries in general and the councils of member states of the GCC in particular.

The Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments also praised the leaders of the GCC countries in their firm position towards the Palestinian brothers, their condemnation of the aggression against Gaza, and their call on the international community to cease the aggression.

The content of the closing statement of the 44th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC was also welcomed by the Association, which emphasized the unity of the GCC and the necessity of working to strengthen economic cooperation between the GCC countries in a way that enhances solidarity and stability as well as maintains their mutual interests.
