Advisory Council Holds 47th Ordinary Session First Meeting

The Advisory Council on Tuesday held its first meeting of the 47th ordinary session under the chairmanship of the eldest member HE Yousif bin Mohammed Yousif Al Obaidan.
At the outset of the meeting the Council's HE Secretary-General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read out the Decree No. 58 of 2018 calling upon the Advisory Council to convene its regular 47th session.
Then HE Al Obaidan delivered a speech welcoming the council members wishing them success in their duties and in serving the people of the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. He called upon the council to elect a speaker of the Council, according to the provisions of Article 9 of the council's Rules of Procedure.
The Council has unanimously re-elected HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud as the Speaker of the Advisory Council and HE Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti as Deputy Speaker.
Rashid bin Hamad Al Meadadi and Reem bint Mohammed Al Mansoori were elected as observers to the council.
