The Speaker of the Shura Council attends the Opening of the Doha International Book Fair

Under the Patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and in presence of H. E. Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Bin Zaid Al -Mahmoud, the Speaker of the Shura Council, HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali opened the 29th Doha International Book Fair, which sees the participation of 427 publishers from 30 Arab and foreign countries at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Center.
The opening ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, HE Minister Justice, Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, HE Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Yousef bin Mohamed Al Othman Fakhroo and HE Director of the Government Communication Office Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani in addition to senior officials ad heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to the State of Qatar.
HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud said the first book fair established in the Gulf was in the State of Qatar and expressed his happiness with the level it has reach starting with good organization which reflects the keenness of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for culture and knowledge.
His Excellency said the State of Qatar is part of this world, which seeks to spread knowledge, culture, love, peace and stability and its has been what Qatar stands for since its Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani till our present time.
