HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem met today with HE Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq bin Ali Al Ghanim and his accompanying delegation who are currently visiting the country.
The meeting dealt with reviewing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Shura Council and the National Assembly and joint GCC parliamentary work. It also reviewed a number of topics of joint interest.
HE Speaker of the National Assembly congratulated HE the Speaker of the Shura Council on the success of the country's first-ever legislative elections, the inauguration of the first ordinary session of the first legislative term corresponding to the Shura Council's 50th annual session, and on His Excellency's election as the new Speaker of the Shura Council and wished him, his deputy, and the members of the council well.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, HE Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the country Hafeez Mohamed Al Ajmi, and members of the council.
