Shura Council Speaker Meets GOPAC Vice President

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem met today with HE Vice President Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) Dr. Fadli Zon.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2023 parliamentary dialogue, held in Doha on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).
His Excellency also met with Senior Director of the Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council William Wechsler, in addition to a number of experts from the council.
The two meetings dealt with discussing a number of issues related to the efforts of parliamentarians and legislative bodies in supporting the efforts made to implement the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, and ways to support those efforts.
The two meetings were attended by HE President of GOPAC Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, a number of Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council, and the Secretary-General of the Council.
